This week, the Under 8's travelled to Newport to play a very good Nova Sharks team. Lots for us to learn still but the boys all worked extremely hard for each other, had a solid second-half performance and should hold their heads up high.
The players of the week are Alfie whose endless running and determination was a great example to all. And, Jojo he was tenacious and scored two well-worked goals. Well done boys 👏👏💪
Today was a challenging match for our U16’s, but we secured a win. The opposing team had some skilled players who put us under pressure right from the start. After conceding an early goal within the first few minutes and struggling initially, our team rallied impressively, equalising with a brilliant header from James R.
In the second half, we came out strong, looking dangerous in our attacks while effectively limiting their chances. Our persistence paid off with a couple of additional goals, which we thought would seal the game, but credit to the opposition for scoring, making the final minutes a bit tense.
There were solid performances all around, with Ollie showing great energy and determination, and Josh excelling defensively, but today’s Man of the Match was Samuel. He dominated aerial duels, distributed the ball calmly, and displayed a fantastic Captain’s attitude, encouraging his teammates and showed great maturity by asking the referee if he could speak to him on behalf of his team about some decisions that had gone against us.
Great job, Samuel, and well done to the entire team.
Our under 10 girls played at home to Newport Jaguars and put in a brilliant performance. From start to finish the girls worked extremely hard and put together some great passing combinations, which resulted in some brilliant goals.
Both teams also played the game in odd socks, in support of Anti-Bullying week, and joined up for a photo post game.
Well done both teams on a great, competetive game.

Today the Under 8s showed their respect by wearing the poppy and remembering those that have fallen.
Since the league grading the step up in opposition has been a welcome challenge, we played a good NC United team and the boys can hold their head up high as they battled for each other and put in a great performance 👏💪
