The under 8s continued their good start to the season with a hard fought draw. Plenty of positives to take into next week's game.
This week's player of the week is Ronnie. Ronnie demonstrated not only a brilliant defensive performance he also scored a last minute screamer. Parents player is Joe, with some crunching tackles, important interceptions and great runs. well done to all the team but in particular Ronnie and Joe. 👏👏
Another fantastic performance by our U16’s in the 1st round of the Mark Harrod U16s Sunday Challenge Cup today. The team scored 5 goals, controlled most of the match, limited the oppositions chances, and kept a clean sheet.
From the very first whistle, our attackers applied pressure high up the pitch, while our defense stood firm during the opposition attacks. The first goal came from the flow of the game, well-deserved, with a great finish by Ryan. After Alfie made it 2-0, going into halftime, it was all about who would score next. The opposition had a couple of decent chances at the start of the second half and nearly got back into it, but once we scored the third goal, it was game over.
DWFC looked in control and kept creating quality chances. Today’s man of the match, however, goes to Taylan. It was a very positive and professional display, with a clean sheet, two assists, and great distribution as always. Well done, Taylan, and great job to the rest of the team.
Great game for our U11s, strong performance plenty of strong challenges all the way through they dug in their heels and worked well as a team.
Spectators player- Freddie controlled the game with great command and control throughout which helped lead the team forward.
